BTC 31: Invictus Results

BTC Fight Promotions proudly returned with BTC 31: Invictus for an all-amateur August show. Fans inside Oshawa’s Sikorski Hall witnessed an unforgettable evening filled with highlight-reel finishes, razor-close wars, and statement performances from both seasoned veterans and surging prospects. From lightning-fast knockouts to impressive submissions, this event proved once again why BTC is the premier proving ground for Canada’s next MMA stars.

Main Event: Uros Bozic def. Keegan Chiasson
Submission (D’Arce) – Round 5, 1:25

Both men had incredible moments in what is already being called one of the best fights in BTC history. Keegan Chiasson pushed the pace and tested Bozic’s grit throughout the five-round battle, while Bozic showcased skill and composure under fire. Both men showcased their grappling skills, trading dominant positions throughout the five-round clash. And on the feet, they landed clean shots that would have taken out lesser fighters. In the final round, Bozic stuffed a takedown attempt, locked up a D’Arce choke, and forced the tap to secure an epic finish to become BTC Fight Promotion’s first amateur champion.

Co-Main Event: Sami El Masry def. Lotanna Chibueze
Submission (Kimura) – Round 1, 1:56
Both men started the fight like they were shot out of a cannon. Lotanna Chibueze tried his had at striking but his aggression gave El Masry an entry for a takedown opportunity. Though Chibueze survived El Masry’s first takedown attempt, he couldn’t stop the second, where El Masry locked up one arm and attacked a kimura. Standing up and rolling his opponent back to the mat, El Masry landed in top position and cranked the submission for the win. The victory moves El Masry to 3-1, with 3 straight victories inside the distance, further cementing his status as one of the most dangerous finishers on the amateur scene.

Ali Forough def. Jeff Tomaszewski
Submission (One-Armed Mounted Guillotine) – Round 1, 0:45
Ali Forough wasted no time launching a deadly barrage of strikes wobbling Tomaszewski. Instead of continuing the striking, Forough changed gears to attack a submission, locking a guillotine and forcing a transition to mount. From there, he locked in a one-armed mounted guillotine, applying crushing pressure until Tomaszewski tapped. The victory, just 45 seconds into the bout, moves the undefeated prospect to 4-0.

Liam Walker def. Tisean Caesar-Gabriel
Unanimous Decision – 30-27, 30-27, 30-27
Liam Walker used his strong grappling to dominate the contest, controlling most of the action from top position. While Tisean Caesar-Gabriel was able to execute a few sweeps, Walker consistently regained dominant positions, finishing rounds two and three in mount and raining down punches. The performance earned Walker his second victory inside the BTC cage and solidified him as a dangerous force at bantamweight.

Clement Gravelle def. Mehdi Lahsinia
TKO – Round 1, 0:31
In the second-fastest finish in BTC amateur history and top 10 overall for the promotion, Clement Gravelle made a spectacular debut. After trading a few early shots, Gravelle launched forward with a perfectly timed punch to the chin, following up with a barrage of strikes until the referee stopped the fight. Taking out fellow heavy-hitter Lahsinia, who was coming off a 1st round TKO victory at BTC 29 in June, is a major victory for the newcomer. The win marked his first MMA victory and the first of two wins for Patenaude MMA on the night, highlighting the gym’s bright future on the amateur scene.

Chris Balodis def. Dylan Majeste
TKO – Round 2, 2:04
Dylan Majeste started strong with takedowns but was unable to turn them into meaningful damage or submission threats as Balodis kept all the scrambles lively and defended well. Both fighters had success on the feet, but a heavy sprawl from Balodis in the second round led to the final sequence where he unleashed multiple clean shots from a standing position for the stoppage. The win was the most impressive of Balodis’ career, as he remained undefeated and handed the undefeated hometown favourite his first loss.

Eghosa Igbinenikaro def. Morike Kaba
TKO (Injury) – Round 1, 0:41
Eghosa Igbinenikaro wasted no time closing the distance and securing a takedown, maintaining relentless pressure even as Morike Kaba got back to his feet. With Kaba backed against the cage, an exchange of punches ended with Kaba collapsing from an apparent knee injury. Igbinenikaro initially began locking in a choke before realizing his opponent was hurt, backing off and taking the early victory. Though it was not the way he wanted to win, it was a strong start and overall solid performance from the Trillium MMA prospect in his BTC debut.

Sidney Storer def. Matt Harrigan
Submission (Anaconda) – Round 1, 2:01
Sidney Storer put on a grappling masterclass, using strikes to close the distance before taking the fight to the ground. After some scrambling exchanges, he secured a front headlock and transitioned smoothly into an anaconda choke. The tight squeeze forced Harrigan to tap, capping off an impressive performance.

Parsa Kohanzad def. David Palencia
Split Decision – 29-28, 27-30, 29-28
David Palencia’s dominant wrestling and control time kept him competitive throughout the bout, but Parsa Kohanzad’s striking was the most impactful weapon of the night. Palencia had moments on the feet, but Kohanzad’s boxing was crisp and often came with full power clearly impressing the judges. In a razor-close battle, Kohanzad’s damage proved enough to earn a split decision on the judges’ scorecards.

Lincoln Mullins def. Samuel Seabrook
Unanimous Decision – 29-28, 30-27, 30-27
Lincoln Mullins entered the fight knowing grappling was his clearest path to victory. Samuel Seabrook defended takedowns well in the first round, but Mullins broke through late and carried that success into the second and third, where he found takedowns much earlier. While he landed solid ground-and-pound, Mullins couldn’t get the finish, though he nearly locked in an armbar in the final seconds, extending it fully just as the horn sounded. Mullins picked up the first of two victories of the night for Big Country MMA.

From the opening bell to the final horn, BTC 31: Invictus was a showcase of the heart, skill, and determination that defines fighters that enter the BTC Fight Promotions cage. We’re incredibly proud of every athlete who stepped into the cage and gave the fans a night to remember. With momentum building and the roster hungrier than ever, BTC Fight Promotions is already preparing to raise the bar even higher for our next event.
