BTC Fight Promotions returns to Oshawa on Saturday, August 9th with BTC 31: Invictus, a night that promises to showcase the future of Canadian MMA. After a successful debut in the city last year, BTC is back in Oshawa, this time at Sikorski Hall, with a full lineup of amateur fights, bringing high-stakes action and a glimpse at the next generation of rising Canadian MMA stars.
Headlining the event, in a historic moment for the organization, will be the first-ever BTC Fight Promotions Amateur Championship. In the main event, Keegan Chiasson (4-3) of Big Country MMA in Lindsay, Ontario, faces Uros Bozic (6-1) from Aegis MMA in Oakville for the BTC Amateur Featherweight Title. Chiasson is riding a wave of momentum, coming off back-to-back finishes, including a lightning-quick 39-second submission at BTC 28: Battle at the Border in Sarnia. His opponent, Bozic, enters the cage with an impressive 6-1 record including four finishes. He boasts a dangerous ground game with three submission victories and one victory by way of TKO. This clash promises fireworks as both fighters look to make history and take the next big step in their MMA journey.
In the co-main event, two undefeated amateur standouts collide. Dylan Majeste (3-0) of Kalsamrit Martial Arts in Bowmanville meets Chris Balodis (4-0) from Hitters Fight Club in Toronto. With both fighters carrying serious hype and clean records, this is a high-stakes battle with major implications for the amateur rankings and possibly their future pro debuts.
Also featured on the card is a pivotal matchup between Jeff Tomaszewski (3-2) of Big Country Orillia and Chase Stevenson (2-2) from Hayabusa Academy in Kingston. Tomaszewski is looking to build on his hard-earned win at BTC 28, while Stevenson returns to the BTC cage with a vengeance, looking for his third amateur victory. Both men are experienced, hungry, and eager to show they belong among the top amateurs in the country.
From top to bottom, BTC 31: Invictus is packed with compelling matchups and top-tier prospects on the verge of competing on the Canadian pro scene. The gritty, high-energy atmosphere at these events has made BTC Fight Promotions the proving ground for Canada’s top fighting talent. Whether you're a die-hard fight fan or attending your first MMA event, there's no better place to experience the raw intensity of mixed martial arts than at Sikorski Hall this summer.
