BTC’s main event will be a thrilling battle between current BTC Lightweight Champion Adam “Maverick” Assenza (18-7) and a dangerous Brazilian for Thiago “Siriguela” Oliveira (17-12).
Adam Assenza is back to headline BTC 24: Apex in his hometown of Burlington, Ontario. “Maverick” holds many records inside the BTC Fight cage including the most victories and the most knockouts in the promotion. Assenza regained the BTC Lightweight title in 2023 via 3rd round TKO over UFC veteran Polo Reyes and defended the title later in the year against “Nasty” Nate Williams. Though the title will not be on the line in this bout the champion faces a tough challenge from a world-class opponent.
Thiago “Siriguela” Oliveira hails from Salvador, Bahia, Brazil but now makes his home at one of the world’s top gyms American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Florida. Oliveria has a strong grappling background taking 8 of his 17 victories via submission but also has ended 3 bouts via knockout. “Siriguela” heads to Canada on the back of a win over Alessandro Botti (19-15) via first-round submission in the main event at Fight Parc Championship in Tarbes, France.
