BTC 21 Adds Meade and Tony Laramie

Canada’s number 1 ranked flyweight Tony Laramie (7-2) joins the strong cast of athletes coming to Kitchener on August 5th. His opponent will be undefeated Mexican prospect Daniel “Drak One” Nuñez (7-0). “Drak One” currently holds a 100% finish rate including 5 first round submissions. Both men are currently on the doorstep of reaching a major league promotion and this battle in Kitchener will be pivotal in the journey of both men.

Also joining the card is a heavyweight clash between two familiar faces for fans of BTC Fight Promotions. Kitchener’s own Mike Meade (2-1) takes on the heavy-handed Mexican Manuel Garcia (4-1).

Meade has picked up back to back victories, at BTC 18 and 19 over Chester Post and Mathieu Langlais, ending both fights inside of the distance. Now he looks to cement himself at the top of the BTC Fight heavyweight division and line up a potential title fight. His opponent Manuel Garcia won over fans at BTC 20 after his comeback TKO victory over former CFL linebacker Tim Cronk and subsequent in-ring proposal to his girlfriend in front of the Burlington crowd. Meade will enjoy a large size discrepancy over Garcia with an incredible 10” height advantage and 13” reach advantage but the Mexican bare knuckle Muay Thai champion believes he is ready for the challenge ahead and plans to upset the hometown crowd.

Catch these two epic battles as they play out at center ice in KW’s largest arena. BTC 21: Fight Night Kitchener takes place at The Aud on August 5th. The show will be licensed but open to all ages. Doors open at 5pm and the show starts at 6pm.
