BTC 29 in Burlington

For the 6th time, BTC Fight Promotions returns to Central Arena in Burlington, home to some of our most legendary events, for BTC 29: Prometheus! On Friday, June 7th, witness a night of high-stakes Pro-Am MMA, where Canada’s top professionals share the stage with rising amateurs hungry to make their mark.

Central Arena has hosted some of BTC’s most unforgettable fights, and BTC 29 promises to add another chapter to its storied history. With explosive matchups, high-profile showdowns, a title fight, and the next generation of MMA stars ready to prove themselves, this is a night no fight fan should miss.

Main Event: Adam Assenza vs. Aaron McKenzie

Headlining BTC 29 is a must-see lightweight clash between Adam “Maverick” Assenza (18-8-1) and Aaron McKenzie (11-2-1), two of the most experienced athletes to ever enter the BTC Fight Promotions cage.

Assenza, known for his devastating power and finishing ability, is a Burlington native who thrives in front of a hometown crowd. He holds the record for most finishes in BTC history and is eager to remind fans why he’s one of the most feared lightweights in the country.

McKenzie, a former Bellator and The Ultimate Fighter veteran (on Conor McGregor’s team in Season 31), brings a balanced, dangerous skill set with eight career finishes—half by knockout, half by submission. With high stakes and veteran savvy on both sides, this bout is guaranteed fireworks.

Undefeated Phenom Meets Battle-Tested Veteran: Clay Pye vs. Greg Sizemore

Another can’t-miss bout features undefeated welterweight sensation Clay “The Bear” Pye (4-0) taking on tough-as-nails veteran Greg Sizemore (9-8-1). Pye, who closed out 2024 with back-to-back knockouts, has been tearing through the Canadian ranks with precision and power.

But he’ll face his toughest test yet in Sizemore, a 10-year veteran with wins by both KO and submission. Known for his resilience and grit, Sizemore enters this matchup with one goal: hand Pye his first professional loss.

Other featured bouts:

Niagara Top Team’s Jarred “The Sheriff” Dumond returns to BTC after two show-stopping finishes, including a lightning-fast 28-second KO. He faces Tristar Montreal’s Ramston Rodrigues, a submission ace with killer instincts and dangerous ground control.
