BTC 33 Heads Back to Mississauga

The stage is set for another unforgettable night of action as BTC 33: New Blood takes over the Don Kolov Arena at Battle Arts Academy on October 4th. Canada’s brightest up-and-coming amateur fighters will step into the cage, hungry to prove themselves on one of the nation’s premier MMA stages.

Fight announcements are already heating up, including a matchup that promises fireworks near the top of the card: BTC veteran Hlib Honcharov takes on fellow unbeaten prospect Tsheltrim Rabgyel. Both men enter with perfect 3-0 records and reputations as blue-chip talents destined for the pro ranks.

Honcharov, representing Niagara Top Team, launched his amateur career inside the BTC cage with back-to-back first-round submission victories over Matthew Maclean and Ryan McNally at BTC 28 and BTC 29. He added a hard-fought decision win in his third outing, showing he can dominate early or grind out a battle. Now, he looks to extend his streak in front of the Mississauga crowd.

Standing across from him is Trillium MMA’s Rabgyel, who makes his BTC debut riding three straight decision wins over tough opposition, including one of Honcharov’s Niagara Top Team teammates. Known for his grit and relentless pace, Rabgyel won’t back down from the challenge. When two undefeated prospects collide, only one leaves with their record intact. Expect this showdown to deliver in a big way!

Another historic matchup on the card will be BTC Fight Promotions’ first-ever youth MMA bout, as Aaron Khaykin meets Iskender Kim. Though still early in their MMA journeys, they already carry high-level experience in other combat sports. Both lifelong martial artists bring impressive résumés in jiu-jitsu, wrestling, and kickboxing. Khaykin owns one amateur MMA win, but both fighters see this as the perfect launchpad for their careers. This matchup embodies the spirit of “New Blood”… these athletes are the next generation of Canadian MMA, and their future starts here.

From top to bottom, BTC 33: New Blood is stacked with can’t-miss matchups, showcasing the grit, talent, and raw energy that have made BTC Fight Promotions the proving ground for Canadian MMA’s next generation.

For over eight years, BTC Fight Promotions has delivered world-class MMA events across Ontario, helping launch the careers of fighters who now compete on the biggest stages in the sport. Alumni include Canada’s two most recent UFC signings, Cody Chovancek and Mandel Nallo, who punched their ticket to the big show through Dana White’s Contender Series this summer. For every fighter stepping into the cage on October 4th, the dream of reaching that same stage begins here.

Don’t miss your chance to witness the next wave of Canadian MMA. The road to greatness starts at BTC 33: New Blood!
