We have a main event for BTC 19: Fight Night Kingston! Burlington’s Serhiy Sidey (7-1) returns to the BTC Fight cage for the first time since 2019. He will compete for the vacant BTC Fight Bantamweight Championship against UFC veteran Walel Watson.
Serhiy Sidey went 3-1 inside the BTC Fight cage during his original two-year run with the promotion with two knockout victories. During the pandemic, he left Ontario to compete on the west coast of Canada earning and defending a title with BFL. Now he returns home to Ontario with his eyes on another title. With seven victories including five finishes, Sidey is already one of Canada’s top prospects outside of a major promotion. A victory in Kingston takes him one step closer to his ultimate goal of reaching the UFC.
Watson has fought around the world against the best competition for the last decade. After a recent stint in bare-knuckle fighting, he returned to MMA and earned a victory over a highly touted opponent. He looks to strike while the iron’s hot, take out another high-level opponent, and bring some gold stateside.
BTC 19: Fight Night Kingston will take place at the Leon’s Centre on March 18th in Kingston, ON.
