BTC 21 Kitchener Main Event
Our final show of the summer “BTC 21: Fight Night Kitchener” is quickly approaching! Kitchener’s Memorial Auditorium (The Aud) plays home to BTC Fight Promotions for the second time. This time the main event will have gold on the line…
In the main event London, Ontario’s Jesse “The Body Snatcher” Ronson (24-12) takes on Ricardo “Woody” Chavez (21-17) for the inaugural BTC Fight Welterweight Championship. Ronson makes his third main event spot for the promotion. His first two appearances ended with first-round submissions over Troy Lamson and Nordin Asrih. Ronson has picked up three straight first-round victories since leaving the UFC in late 2022. Ronson officially makes the move to the welterweight division at the event and looks to prove a point he is still at the top of his game and ready for a world-class challenge.
In the way of this goal is Mexican knockout artist “Woody” Chavez. With 20 finishes in 21 victories, Chavez holds a 95% finish rate, just higher than Ronson’s 83% finish rate from 20 finishes in 24 victories. Woody will also hold the size advantage over the Canadian as he has taken many middleweight bouts throughout his career; including winning the Jasaji Fighting League middleweight title in June 2023.
Expect fireworks early and often as these two MMA veterans clash at centre cage in Kitchener. BTC 21: Fight Night Kitchener takes place at The Aud on August 5th. The show will be licensed but open to all-ages. Doors open at 5pm and the show starts at 6pm.
